The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join its highly-driven Information Governance team in this exciting role of Information Governance & Elections Officer. If you are looking for a challenge and would like to develop a career in delivering Information Governance and also Electoral Services then this could be the ideal position for you.
Your primary role will be contributing to the effective delivery of the Council’s Information Governance services and to comply with all aspects of information request processing under Freedom of Information, Environmental Information Regulations, Data Protection Subject Access Requests and Land Charges regimes.
You will also provide administrative support to the Electoral Services team and assist in the fulfilment of the Electoral Registration Officer’s and Returning Officers statutory duties. You will need to quickly acquire a detailed knowledge of the legislative procedures governing the delivering of electoral registration and elections in order to fulfil this role effectively. Contact with elected representatives, political parties and members of the public is frequent and heightened during the election period, and the ability to exercise political impartiality is therefore an indispensable requirement of this role.
