We have an exciting opportunity for a Wellbeing Advisor to support our successful Social Prescribing Team on a 2 year fixed term contract.

Applications will be considered for either 1 x full time position, working 37 hours per week or 2 x part time positions, both working 25 hours per week.

Wellbeing prescribing involves working with the most vulnerable within our community and signposting them to social, recreational and non-medical support and activities which may help them to improve their overall health and well being and reduce their feelings of isolation. 

To be successful in this role you will need to have a support or advice background and have an understanding of the needs and problems that older, vulnerable and disabled adults may experience. 

You will need to be confident in communicating with individuals on a one to one basis and will be able to adapt you communication style to suit individuals, having a caring and empathetic approach will be a key element to this role. 

If you have a passion for helping people to become more active, to lose weight, stop smoking or to encourage and enable them to participate more fully in their local community activities then this may be the role for you.
