About the Role 

The London Borough of Redbridge is looking to recruit an experienced Corporate Facilities Manager to contribute as part of a team towards the delivery of comprehensive property management in respect of the Council's diverse commercial and operational property portfolio.

Reporting directly to the Head of Property (as Corporate Landlord), the postholder will be responsible for the delivery of all hard and soft Facilities Management Services across the Council's operational portfolio of more than 200 properties as well as to any third party's properties who have purchased the service from the Council. 

The postholder will be directly responsible for providing a high quality, consistent Facilities Management service which ensures all Council property is maintained to a high standard and that all regulatory and legal obligations are complied with. 

The postholder will play a key role in developing the Council's understanding of its asset base and contribute directly to the Asset Strategy in terms of the assessment of the Council's estate and supporting the ongoing rationalisation/transformation of buildings and services. 

You will have demonstrable experience of working within a multi-disciplined practice, which may be in the public sector, but is not essential. You will be well organised, an excellent communicator, adaptable and flexible in your approach yet possessing strong negotiation and influencing skills. 

You will have a good quality degree in a relevant subject 

Membership of relevant professional body (i.e. BIFM or RICS) in a relevant area 

Project Management Qualification, i.e. PRINCE2.
