We are looking for an enthusiastic Maths Specialist to join our innovative and dynamic team and teach across a range of levels in our Idea Stores, community venues and online.
You will teach on a range of accredited and non-accredited programmes with learners working towards maths qualifications as well as bespoke programmes and interventions which help learners into work or further study; build their confidence with everyday maths, support them with budgeting or help them to support their children with maths.

Key Responsibilities
You will provide high quality teaching, learning and support for learners in the Post-19 education sector for Tower Hamlets Council.
You will be responsible for delivering excellent teaching and learning on a range of accredited and RARPAP assessed Maths programmes across the borough.
You will assist the curriculum managers to develop courses, schemes of work and assessment strategies which meet the wide-ranging needs of learners across the borough including delivering to national and regional initiatives such as Multiply.
Requirements
Successful applicants will hold a subject specialism in maths (at level 5 or above) and hold a PGCE (or equivalent teaching qualification).
Knowledge and experience of teaching mixed ability groups as well as knowledge and understanding of current best practice in teaching and learning is essential.
This post requires an enhanced DBS and the ability to work flexibly (including one or two evenings a week) and across learning sites and community venues as required.

This vacancy is fixed term until 31st August 2023 in the first instance. Working hours are 35 hours per week (term time only, 41 weeks per year).
