The Platform is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to work as part of a team. Your duties will include stewarding at the events and performances and working behind a busy licenced bar.
You must be prepared to work evenings and weekends and have good communication skills, the ability to move and re-set seating and other furniture, and assist with unloading and loading of artist’s equipment. Due to licensing constraints, the applicant will need to be 18 or over.
You must also be able to prepare, serve and present alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks quickly and efficiently meeting our high standards. You will be expected to move stock and re-stock the bar.
As a casual worker, you will be paid only for the hours which you work. The nature of casual work means that there is no mutuality of obligation. This means that the Council is not obliged to offer you any hours and neither are you obligated to accept any hours offered. The Council cannot guarantee that work will be available every week.
