You will lead the Finance team and support the Director of Resources in looking for ways to create better returns and efficiencies. Part of the Senior Management Team, you will share your knowledge and influence the leadership of the organisation. In addition, you will also have responsibility for strategic projects and programmes, including contributing to the delivery of the Council’s wider objectives.
To join us and develop your career at this exciting time, you will hold a suitable accountancy qualification; have a proven track record as a deputy S151, or S151, officer in local government. You will think strategically and look at ways to improve services and innovate, whilst helping to keep a very firm hand on our finances, taking account of the fact that uncertainty and challenging times will face us both generally and financially in the future.
