In this exciting project role, funded by the Department of Work and Pension’s Homelessness Communities Budget, you will lead on the development of the project from its inception to completion.
- Develop the means to assess customers needs and agree plans, which build on the initial information gathered as part of the Homelessness Reduction Act Personal Housing planning process
- Work collaboratively to build and maintain effective partnership working with Job Centre Plus, service providers and the Council’s Economic Development Advisors to maintain up to date knowledge of upcoming employment and training opportunities, ensuring customers engage in such opportunities
- Support customers who are long-term unemployed and with the most complex barriers to employment to improve employment outcomes or prospects of future employment
To be successful, you will need to have strong communication skills and be able to work collaboratively, negotiating effectively to achieve the required outcomes of this project.
A knowledge of housing and welfare benefit legislation, along with the range of support available to help people overcome barriers to employment would also be beneficial.
