About the role
Are you a keen team player and able to prepare food to a high standard?
Milton Grange are looking for a Cook who has effective cooking techniques and healthy, nutritious recipes!
As a Cook, you will undertake a variety of tasks involved in the operation of the establishment's kitchen. You'll prepare and cook nutritionally balanced and appetizing meals for the people we support. We will expect you to follow defined instructions to a high standard when assisting in preparing food.
The successful candidate ideally has experience of working in a kitchen environment producing meals for up to 100 people, managing a team and be able to produce delicious food.
Your main responsibilities are: -
- Preparing the food for cooking
- Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
- Reviewing the menu and doing inventory
- Ensuring standard portions and quality of dishes
- Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen and ensuring sanitation practices in the kitchen

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
