Higher Level Teaching Assistant To Lead Nurture Provision Across The School

Required from Spring 2023

The post is initially until 31st August 2024, subject to continuation of SEND funding. The impact of the initiative will be a key element to support the continuation of the funding.

Grade F (SCP 12-19)  Term Time Only, 36hrs 

Bedford Primary School is a happy, hardworking and successful school where every child matters. We are seeking to appoint an experienced HLTA to join our growing team of nurture practitioners.  Our nurture provision was established in September 2022 and provides support to children from across the school. 

You will work as part of our nurture and SEMH team and have access to high quality CPD including completion of Nurture UK's Theory & Practice Of Nurture Group Training. 

The successful applicant will also be responsible for planning and delivering bespoke support for pupils requiring additional SEMH support and intervention. 

Ideally you will:

• Have EYFS/KS1 experience;
• Have training in specific interventions to support children with social and emotional needs, including using the Boxall Profile;
• Be experienced in planning to support the needs of individual children;
• Be hardworking, resilient, reliable and flexible;
• Be experienced in working with external partners and families:
• Be excited about a new challenge and the opportunity to join our team.

This position is term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent.  If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
