An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced procurement professional to lead the team at Chelmsford City Council. A diverse and exciting role will suit an ambitious person who has procurement experience looking for their next role. The team at Chelmsford is small but provides strategic advice to all services, including diverse requirements which makes the role challenging and exciting, supporting large capital projects and a variety of services.


Our ideal candidate will have a relevant procurement qualification, with some experience in commissioning services with the Third Sector and managing Service Level Agreements.  Managing one member of staff, the successful applicant will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills. 


The Council is working in a hybrid model, including working in the Civic Centre office and working remotely to suit the needs of the business.


The closing date for this role will be 7th July 2022, with interviews scheduled to take place 15th July 2022.
