Associate Principal (Quality) - New Directions College
Part-time 0.6 FTE (22.2 Hours per week) – 9 month Fixed Term Contract
Preferable working days are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Due to the recent internal promotion of the previous post holder, we are seeking an outstanding Quality Manager to join the team at New Directions College.
New Directions College is Reading Borough Council’s Adult Community Learning and Skills service. This year we’re celebrating 64 years of Adult Learning in Reading. We’re a small friendly College delivering to over 2000 learners and Apprentices in Reading each year, directly and through our subcontractors and partners.
This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding quality manager to utilise their existing skills and experience and thrive and develop with the responsibility of a range of quality functions across the College.
We are on a journey towards outstanding and we are looking for someone who is passionate about adult learning and has the skills and expertise to cultivate an outstanding quality of education to all.
You should be able to demonstrate experience within adult and community learning and/or the post compulsory education sector. You should be familiar with the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and processes for self-assessment and quality improvement.
You should also be a qualified and experienced practitioner, confident and competent to observe teaching, learning and assessment and provide high quality mentorship and feedback to others.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team are essential. This is a job share with another 0.5 post holder and so working collaboratively is expected. You’ll be part of a team that relies on each individual to play their part to the best of their ability.
