Starting salary of £24,170pa with potential progression to £27,269pa on achieving designated skills and experience
22.5 hours a week (including Tuesday and Wednesday plus another day - rota)
Welwyn Hatfield Museum Service is looking for an enthusiastic Learning Officer to join our team. This is an exciting time to join this busy team as we develop our sites and services post pandemic with the aim of creating a cultural community hub with learning opportunities for all.
We run two heritage sites, an 18th Century working watermill and social history museum in Hatfield and Welwyn Roman Baths, a 3rd century Roman Bath House, ingeniously preserved 9 metres under the A1M motorway.
You will have proven experience in delivering learning opportunities to children aged 4-11. You will have excellent communication skills and show a commitment to developing object-led learning inspired by our sites’ history and collections.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
