Hours: 25 hours per week / 42 weeks per year
Contract: Fixed Term until March 2024
You will be responsible for the efficient and cost effective supervision of the Authority’s Catering Establishment within schools.
An opportunity has arisen within the Environment and Regeneration directorate for an Operational Supervisor to assist with the effective supervision of 25 school kitchens and buffets services. You will undertake the full range of Supervisor duties which includes liaising with Head Teachers and Site Managers to discuss satisfaction with the catering service and to take any appropriate action needed.
To participate in forward planning meetings, transfer equipment and stock including emergency meals when required.
Responsible for quality and Health & Safety inspections which includes the Food Safety Management system, to monitor HACCP and kitchen stock levels. Also, to audit Cook’s paperwork and take the appropriate action to rectify if required.
To conduct induction training, assist with the recruitment process and other administration duties. To assist with menu development and supporting Cook’s with one to one meetings.
The successful candidate will possess a Food Safety Level 3 Certificate and have 5 years catering experience within the industry.
Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The postholder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
