Employer of Choice Project Coordinator

The Economy Team is recruiting a project coordinator for the Employer of Choice Programme. Employer of Choice Project is a funded 24-month programme aiming to enable North Somerset Council to create and implement a coordinated approach that:

• Creates a variety of pathways into employment within North Somerset Council, especially for cohorts impacted by the social and economic effects of COVID-19
• Delivers a structured approach to progression via the use of the Apprenticeship Levy
• Uses these pathways to support areas with recruitment and retention gaps
• Ensures we do not underspend the Apprenticeship Levy

ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT:

The Economy Team is based within the Place Directorate at North Somerset Council. It is responsible for working with local and regional partners to deliver economic projects and programmes aimed at securing North Somerset as a significant business location.

This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
