Cultural Learning School Officer SO1
Intro to the organisation
Bursting with culture, energy, and opportunity, Waltham Forest is a place where people want to live, raise a family, and start a business. It’s also a fantastic place to work, as we do all we can to improve the lives of residents and maintain the borough’s reputation as an attractive place to visit and invest in.
The William Morris Gallery showcases the life and works of textile designer William Morris and is based in his childhood home. The Gallery also hosts a changing temporary exhibition programme throughout the year which explores artists with similar principles and styles to Morris as well as themes that were important to him such as environmentalism and activism. The Gallery is run by London Borough of Waltham Forest (LBWF). As part of the legacy of being the first Borough of Culture in 2019, LBWF is committed to providing a high-quality arts and cultural programme. The plans for the Gallery are ambitious, as we head into a new phase of working outside of our walls and into the community.
