Planning/Senior/Principal Planning Officer (Career Graded)

We have positions for enthusiastic and versatile planners to help us handle a range of planning applications, appeals and other case work across North Somerset. 

There are opportunities for both inexperienced and experienced individuals seeking new challenges. Our challenges are wide ranging and as a result there will be plenty of opportunity to develop your experience and skills in a team busy balancing significant development pressures in a constrained area which includes Green Belt, AONB, extensive areas vulnerable to flooding and other sensitive environments.  For the more senior position you should hold a degree in Town and Country Planning or equivalent and be eligible for membership of the RTPI with a good understanding of the planning application and appeal process. 

These are a career graded posts and we can offer a range of other benefits including flexible working hours and a friendly and supportive team working in a beautiful part of the country.  Starting salary will depend on the skills and experience of the successful candidates.
