Senior Performance and Intelligence Officer (3 posts) – 1x Adult Social Care, 1 x Children’s Social Care and 1x Place and Core

 

The new Core Business Improvement (BI) Team is recruiting!  We have recently undergone a restructure and are now looking for talented, ambitious, and experienced Senior Performance and Intelligence Officers to join our team.  The roles will provide the focal point for our wide-ranging customers across the council and partnerships.  You will be the face of BI, challenging, advising, and providing key intelligence and performance products to help shape and drive continuous change and improvement across the directorates.

The Team are looking to recruit three Senior Performance and Intelligence Officers. One (permanent) post will support the exciting and challenging work that takes place in our Adult Social Care teams. Another (permanent) post would support our Children’s Social Care Teams, and the final  (fixed term to March 23) post will support our Core and Place Directorates (we expect the fixed term post to be extended beyond March 2023 in due course).

You must be willing to adapt and work independently but still be a critical part of the team and work closely with your colleagues to ensure a consistent message is provided to customers.  That message is – data, information, performance, and intelligence are crucial in driving forward change and improvement.

 

In this role you will need to have an excellent analytical mind and be able to lead in the development of innovative solutions to present data back as information and intelligence to a wide-ranging audience.  You will also support on the development of strategic documents and needs assessments and develop new ways in getting key messages out to those who need them.  You will also be driving forward improvements across our organisation, whilst always putting the customer first.

 

Some of the skills you may possess could include:

  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience in performance measurement and challenge
  • Experience in developing or contributing to strategic documents
  • Able to work with all levels of seniority within an organisation
  • Able to put the customer needs first

 

Experience in Adult Social Care or Children’s Social Care  would be an advantage for the permanent posts, however, is not essential as long as you would be willing to learn about the area and work closely with the service experts.

 

You will need a relevant level 6 qualification or equivalent to apply for this role.
