We are seeking to recruit a Landlord Liaison Officer, with excellent negotiation skills, to be part of the Housing Options & Advice Team to provide private rented housing options including placements in temporary accommodation for people in housing need. The Housing Options & Advice Team assists those in housing need and those at risk of homelessness to access a range of accommodation to create long-term sustainable tenancies.
We are looking for a candidate with experience in either tenancy sustainment or property lettings with the ability to work with private landlords and lettings agencies to sustain existing landlord relationships. A flair for solving tenancy problems from a landlord’s perspective and an understanding of the private rented sector market. You will be supporting landlords with housing applicants to resolve issues and agree sustainable solutions for their tenancies. You will be together with officers within the team in the prevention of homelessness.
Qualified to G.C.S.E English & Maths grades A-C or minimum level 5 or equivalent and able to demonstrate good literacy, numeracy and verbal communication. Experience in a similar role/environment preferably within the private rented sector or social housing. Experience of developing good relationships between landlords and tenants.
The successful applicant will be required to work out of normal office hours on occasions and carry out home visits and property inspections.
