Placement Support Worker (2 posts)
An opportunity has arisen to join the Placement Team as a Placement Officer, providing support in identifying and maintaining suitable placements for children and young people coming into the care of the local authority.
The service processes a high volume of confidential and sensitive information that is emotive in content for which a level of personal resilience is required
You will be required to identify suitable placements to meet assessed needs in consultation with other internal stakeholders and management. You will also be required to attend meetings and undertake any identified actions, as well as supporting and maintaining the development and updating of systems for the compilation of statistical data.
You will support the payment process for independent providers to ensure prompt and accurate payments are made. You will have confidence with BMBC financial management systems (or a commitment to learn).
You will be flexible in your approach in order to ensure the overall service objectives are achieved, be an excellent team player and willing to make a solid contribution to the smooth running of the service.

You will require a good knowledge of computer databases\programmes including Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel and Access.
You will hold a Level 3\BTEC(Higher) in Administration or Business and Finance or equivalent relevant qualification or have extensive equivalent experience
