We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and dynamic teacher to the leadership post of Applied Science Lead from 01 September 2022.


The successful candidate will be a highly effective classroom practitioner who can lead and motivate others. S/he must be proactive in approach and able to demonstrate good initiative in effectively supporting the Head of Department. The successful candidate will be able to translate their own high expectations to others through their daily practice on a regular basis, and through professional development activities.


The successfully appointed person will:
* Lead and manage all aspects of curriculum provision, learning and progress within the relevant subject area
* Raise standards of pupil/student attainment and achievement within the subject area and to monitor and support pupil/student progress.
* Accountable for pupil/student progress and development within the subject area.
* Develop and enhance the teaching practice of others.
Additionally, the applicant should have a secure knowledge of Applied Science and be able to develop and secure schemes of work that are in line with current learning and teaching initiatives. They will play a significant role in helping the department to significantly raise learning outcomes in the future.
