Streetworks Inspector Specialist
About the role
Working within our Streetworks team, you will be responsible for carrying out site inspections to ensure that Streetwork and Roadwork activities undertaken on the public highway are completed in a safe and efficient manner as well to the correct quality, in accordance with any conditions placed upon the permit activity and the New Roads and Streetworks Act 1991, the Traffic Management Act 2004, the Wokingham Borough Council Permit Scheme and associated codes of practice.
This contributes to the Council’s objective of reducing congestion and ensuring the best possible service to all highway users.
About you
You will need to be motivated, flexible and well organised with good computer skills and excellent time management and communication skills. You will also need to be adaptable and able to overcome problems as well comfortable with lone working.
You will have a sound knowledge of NRSWA 1991 with specific reference to the Specification of the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways (SROH), Safety at Streetworks and Roadworks – Code of Practice and the Code of Practice for Inspections.
You must hold supervisor level NRSWA accreditation.
You must have access to your own transport.
