It is clear that the COVID-19 pandemic will have a long term and far-reaching impact on the socio-economic context at national level and in Hertfordshire. To respond to these challenges, our marketing and outreach team promote the opportunities available through our service to support Hertfordshire residents gain sustainable employment in what is already a challenging labour market and to support our residents to live fuller lives by engaging well with their communities.
The IAG Lead role is key to ensuring that our learners/participants receive impartial, quality IAG to help them achieve their career goals. The post holder will work across the whole of the Step2Skills team covering Hertfordshire.
Highly effective communication skills and a strong team and work ethos are vital as well as an ability to work to tight deadlines. Further details about the role can be found in the job outline.
Step2Skills are based at County Hall Hertford and is predominantly funded by the Department of Education and part of Hertfordshire County Council. It is responsible for delivering adult and family learning across Hertfordshire, engaging with around 5,000 learners and project participants each year. It has its own team of teachers but also subcontracts parts of its intervention to well- established local education partners. The service was last inspected by Ofsted in 2020 when it was judged as 'Good'.
