West Berkshire Council is seeking to recruit an experienced housing manager who is looking for a challenge in an exciting and wide ranging role which covers both operational and strategic areas of work.
As a member of the Housing Service management team, you will be providing strategic support to the Housing Strategy and Operations Manager by assisting to develop strategies, service plans, policies, procedures and carrying out research as required for the successful delivery of the housing service.
With the implementation of the Homelessness Reduction Act, there is a role in carrying out reviews and complaints as well as managing the delivery of the Rough Sleeping Initiative projects which have just received funding. The role also includes overseeing the delivery of affordable housing.
You must have extensive experience in housing in operations and strategy, an understanding of current housing legislation and national and local policy issues as well as experience of partnership working.
You will need to be edcuated to degree level, with a professional qualification in Housing and have CIH membership.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
