An exciting opportunity has arisen in Wokingham Borough Council for a proficient Social Worker with management experience, to join our Adult Social Care Prevention and Short-Term Service, leading the Assessment Team. The role is to provide maternity cover for the existing post holder.

The Interim Social Work Assessments Team Manager will be a qualified and registered social worker with extensive experience of working in adult social care and in supervising and supporting the practice and performance of others. They will be a passionate about providing the highest standard of care and support and efficient and effective, timely service delivery. They will work as part of an established and ambitious management team, and regular support and supervision will be given to this role. Lead on complex safeguarding cases, to ensure the highest standards of professional practice are modelled and maintained. They will also support effective budget management and contribute to a system of resource allocation for customers, including, making cross-budget decisions to meet immediate needs and reduce risk.
