London Trading Standards Operations Director £48,237 - £51,117 inclusive Full time
London Trading Standards (LTS) is a Community Interest Company representing the 33 Local Authority Trading Standards services in London. We promote the work of Trading Standards via collaboration on working groups and projects and by running awareness campaigns across the capital to protect consumers and safeguard legitimate businesses.
We tackle a wide range of issues including product safety, doorstep crime, scams, underage sales and unfair trading and we are looking for a dynamic Director and Coordinator to oversee this valuable partnership approach to our work.
In conjunction with Hammersmith and Fulham we are offering an exciting opportunity to help LTS go from strength to strength. We are looking for two exceptional individuals who are excellent communicators, can present a professional face for London and promote LTS with key partners; building relationships and good public relations with key stakeholders such as the Local Government Association and the Mayor’s Office.
Both roles will require someone who is highly organised, with sound project management and budget management skills, very flexible in their approach, with the ability to work on their own initiative and deal with a range of issues at the same time.
Trading Standards or other local government experience is highly desirable, but not essential for the right candidate. Home working is encouraged and the roles will require travelling throughout London and to other UK venues.
For the Operations Director role, consideration may be given to part time hours, on a pro rata basis for the right candidate.
