Family Practitioner Crime & Anti-Social Behaviour
Department: Family Services
Section: Specialist Adolescent Services
Salary / Grade: P03 (£37,650 - £40,653)
Contract: Fixed term for 12 months
We believe that successful engagement requires a ‘whole systems’ approach; this includes a commitment to working collaboratively with families, actively supporting participation in the planning and delivery of services, and working closely with partners to deliver an integrated response. The intention is to improve families’ access to services, to facilitate effective information sharing and to offer co-ordinated and streamlined support to families. This will be brought about primarily through innovative engagement and support of families and young people using a “what works” approach.
We are looking for a creative and innovative practitioner who will draw on their experience of working with young people and families to divert them from crime and anti-social behaviour. You will be experienced in working collaboratively with partners around the identification of need and in offering co-ordinated and streamlined support to young people and families. You will have a particular skill in engaging with families and will focus on positive engagement using a variety of skills, techniques and interventions. You should also have significant experience of working with young people involved in youth offending, crime and anti-social behaviour.
Your practice will be underpinned by a sound knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding along with robust understanding of using evidence based approaches including systemic therapy.
If you believe that you are the dynamic forward thinking individual we are looking for, we want to hear from you.
