Help us ensure the best outcomes for children and young people with SEND in Gloucestershire
In Gloucestershire, we have focused on supporting the creation of a strong school system with great success. Educational attainment in the county is above the national average. Ofsted judgments rank our schools as among the best in the south west. We are moving forward from a position of strength but there are challenges ahead. We are committed to improving outcomes for children and young people in Gloucestershire, particularly for those who are vulnerable or have additional needs.
To ensure that our children and young people reach their full potential and to make sure what we do really works for children and families, we are re-shaping our education service to make better use of our resources.
How you’ll make a difference…
You will lead our EHCP service, working closely with education providers, developing strategies to improve effectiveness and ensure access to inclusive and appropriate education for all children and young people with SEND.
What we need from you…
You will have significant experience of championing the needs of vulnerable children, young people and their families. You will be able to demonstrate successful leadership, multi-agency working and resource management.
What you’ll get in return…
You will join us at a time of challenging and exciting developments which offer a real opportunity to make your mark.
