There has never been a more exciting time to develop as a manager and lead a social work team at Newham.

You may have heard that Newham’s transformation journey is showing consistent improvement and making ground; Ofsted recently recognised the “sustained and steady” progress we are making following our recent monitoring visit, the findings of which you can read in full here.

Embedding new, permanent Team Managers into our workforce is key to our ambition of becoming a centre of excellence in Children’s Social Care by 2023; Team managers are our leaders of practice, driving frontline social work to get the best results for our children and families. Team Managers can now look to an Assistant Team Manager, a Social Care Academy, an expanded QA service, and a team of Family Therapists to assist them in leading excellent practice within their teams. These changes are a small part of the positive impact that our permanent, stable senior leadership team are making, which was recognised in our recent Ofsted visit. Newham is moving in the right direction.

Newham offers a real opportunity for Team Managers to make a difference. Working with us will provide invaluable experience, career progression opportunities, and the chance to put being part of our journey to ‘Good’ on your CV.

Apply now, and be part of our success.
