About the role
Site Maintenance Operative (Caretaker)

We are looking for a professional and self-motivated individual with good practical maintenance experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible. Working as part of the Site team, candidates should be able to work proactively and independently to ensure the efficient operation of the Academy campus.
We are a split site, semi-rural, mixed 11-18 non-selective converter academy with approximately 1520 students, including over 220 students in our Sixth Form. We are situated centrally in Crowborough on the outskirts of the Ashdown Forest, an area of outstanding natural beauty. We are close to Tunbridge Wells and the South Coast. The vast majority of our staff travel to Beacon from a variety of destinations within the South East, including Brighton, Eastbourne, Lewes and Tunbridge Wells.

Immediate start is available subject to DBS, health checks and references. The post is full time (37 hours per week) 52 weeks per year on Single Status Grade 6 which is currently £20,853-£21,695. The working hours will be 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4.30pm on Fridays. Occasionally, flexibility will be required in relation to working hours. This can be discussed further at interview.
