With a Mayor recently being elected, these posts will provide expert support to particularly help deliver the Sheffield City Region’s housing and energy policy and investment ambitions.
The SCR Executive Team is now recruiting for two posts:
1. Senior Programme Manager (Capital Projects)
2. Senior Programme Manager (Energy & Sustainability)
Salary: - £41,846 - £44,697
We are seeking two dynamic individuals with experience of driving forward policy and capital projects, ideally working in partnership with a range of bodies.
Senior Programme Manager (Capital Projects)
This Senior Programme Manager post will oversee a programme of capital projects across the Sheffield City Region (SCR). Primarily, this will involve a programme of housing schemes being funded through the SCR Housing Fund, which is a bespoke housing investment fund for the City Region. However, the post may be required to similarly support the SCRs wider commercial and infrastructure investment programme.
The post will work with Local Authorities, Housing Associations and other scheme promoters, providing expert advice and support to assist them in developing their scheme business cases for SCR funding and investment. The post will support the SCR Housing Investment Board and the SCR Housing & Infrastructure Executive Board in undertaking their responsibilities for housing and infrastructure investment.
Senior Programme Manager (Energy & Sustainability)
This Senior Programme Manager post will lead on the development and implementation of Sheffield City Region (SCR) Energy Strategy and Delivery Plan. This will involve working with local authorities and other public and private sector bodies to both develop SCR energy and sustainability policy, and develop a pipeline of deliverable energy and low carbon capital schemes, for investment across the SCR to meet the aims and objectives of the SCR Energy Strategy.
The post will also be the main contact and engage directly with the joint North East, Yorkshire and the Humber Energy Hub, supporting the development of specifications for projects of common interest across partners in the Energy Hub, and ensuring good practice elsewhere informs SCR energy policy and scheme development.
