Senior Business Intelligence Officer

Performance & Business Intelligence Team
Sefton Council is seeking to recruit two Senior Business Intelligence Officers to its Performance and Business Intelligence Team to lead the analysis, interpretation and reporting of complex data, providing timely and accurate data to inform strategic decision making.
We are looking for two data analysts with experience of supporting and supervising others to develop the capability and capacity within the Council’s Performance and Business Intelligence Team. One post will assume responsibility for supporting Adult Social Care and Health, including Public Health and wider analysis of social and economic data. The other post will support Children’s Services and Communities, including Children’s Social Care, Education, Early Help, Youth Offending and Supported Families.
Prior experience of producing timely and accurate management information by gathering, validating, analysing, and reporting quantitative and qualitative data both statistically and with relevant supporting narrative is essential. Previous experience of business intelligence tools including Business Objects, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Power B.I. is also essential.
A degree or equivalent professional qualification in information management, statistics or analytics or equivalent experience is essential.
You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build & nurture relationships across the business, effectively advising and supporting senior officers, with the confidence to challenge where appropriate, based on evidence.
