Housing Support and Telecare Officer (part-time)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Supported Housing service. We are looking to recruit a permanent, part-time Housing Support and Telecare Officer to join our team.
The successful applicant will work with elderly/vulnerable/disabled service users, living either in their own home or in the Council’s supported housing schemes.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has experience of working with elderly/vulnerable people and their families/carers. The role will involve contacting service users, facilitating their various support needs, assessing and installing telecare alarm equipment as well as liaising with other agencies.
You will possess excellent team working skills with the ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure. Good administrative skills will also be required including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Working hours are 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Wednesday. The successful applicant will be expected to respond to emergencies for supported housing and telecare alarm service users.
The post requires the successful candidate to have access to a car, or other suitable means of transport, for work purposes. The post will be subject to a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
