Arun's busy front-line Housing Options Team work to prevent homelessness, sustain tenancies and identify sources of accommodation across all tenures. We are looking for a positive and resilient Private Sector Liaison Officer to join our friendly team, with the purpose of increasing our access to affordable private sector housing in order to prevent homelessness and reduce the use of temporary accommodation

Our clients often present with complex and challenging circumstances and you will need to demonstrate a passion for what you do and for the people who need your help. You will need to have experience working in housing, but a knowledge of the workings of the private sector, including lettings, tenancies and tenancy rights will put you at an advantage.  You will need to have excellent negotiation skills, be prepared to be persistent and above all, be focussed on finding housing for people who need it.

With this role that there will be a hybrid homeworking/office arrangement, although the role will be based at the Civic Centre, Littlehampton, and requires travel across the Arun district.
