About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team as we open a Pre School Nursery at Cradle Hill Community Primary School.

This role will ensure the safe and high-quality education and care for nursery children. You will be responsible for supervising Pre School Nursery staff on a day-to-day basis. You will also contribute to and implement all pre school nursery policies.

The successful candidate will:
- Be experienced in nursery level childcare including the planning of pre-school activities inline with the curriculum
- Have knowledge of child development and understanding of 'Birth to Three Matters' and the 'Foundation Stage' curriculum.
- Be motivated, organised and a positive team player
- Have experience leading a team and carrying out staff appraisals
- Be an excellent communicator
- Be an outstanding representative of our Pre School Nursery to our families and outside services.
- Be able to maintain and update accurate records and documentation
- Be pro-active and able to work on their own initiative
- Hold an NVQ 3 in Childcare and Education or relevant equivalent

This is an exciting time to join our fantastic team as we open a Pre School Nursery for 2-4-years old. We will be able to provide ongoing training and wider experience, a new and well-resourced pre school nursery facility and direct involvement in this new phase of our community school.

We anticipate the right candidate will join us from mid-end of July in anticipation of our Pre School Nursery opening in September 2022.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
