Willow house is a residential setting for children and young people with disabilities. At Willow House we communicate and work with young people in an open way, using a variety of communication systems that work for the individual. We ensure the young people get the same opportunities as their mainstream peers and are not discriminated against on the grounds of their disability. We believe that building good trusting relationships with our young people is the key to them settling within the home, and then through the setting of regular targets and goals they develop their daily living skills, gain independence, and be supported to stay safe.  We actively encourage our young people to have their views listened too and do this through regular one to one sessions where they can voice their wishes and feelings

Hertfordshire County Council wants to keep young people in residential care close to home. We know it is important for children and young people to remain part of the community to which they belong and to make sure they can continue to get support  from their family, friends, and their professional network.

We understand the impact of trauma on young people and are passionate about helping them find their strengths and explore what they want to achieve with their lives. The Home offers a safe and nurturing environment for the young people which enables them to develop self-care skills, self-esteem, and healthy relationships.

To do this, staff must be compassionate and have emotional resilience. We believe in nurturing positive relationships and are wholly dedicated to never giving up on a child.

Our home has a good Ofsted rating. We are looking for a Senior care worker to join an enthusiastic and welcoming team at an exciting time.
