Chelmsford City Council are pleased to offer a unique opportunity for an individual who wishes to start a career in Marketing or Communications. Working with our Marketing & Communications Team, the successful applicant will gain experience and an understanding of marketing and communications across a number of our public venues; whilst working towards a level 3 Business Administrator Qualification. They will also develop valuable skills by assisting with marketing activities working with other service areas, such as the Hylands and our events team, including updates on our websites, social media accounts and helping with e-newsletters.

This year will be an exciting year for us and Chelmsford more widely, with a major refurbishment of our theatre starting soon. Both the Riverside Leisure Centre and Chelmsford Museum have also been refurbished in recent years.

The role is not purely office based and the role will involve first-hand engagement with customers and local businesses. This will be through marketing and at events, launches & press nights; as well as co-ordinating and assisting with local distribution of publicity materials.

The role is office based but there are flexible working arrangements in place.
