An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and experienced practitioner to join the Safeguarding Children Health Team. Applicants should have a minimum of two years’ experience of working with families and have had significant exposure to safeguarding children processes.
The purpose of the Specialist Nurse role is to assist the Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children in providing professional leadership and support for staff within the Children’s Health Provision in matters relating to safeguarding children and they will be an active member of MARAC in North East Lincolnshire.
In addition the delivery of safeguarding children training and Routine Enquiry training will be an integral part of the role as will supporting staff through supervision and in the completion of conference reports, court statements and, where necessary, attending Court.
There will also be a requirement to take a role in FFAP and be an integral part of the process attending strategy meetings were needed and searching the health systems for relevant data to inform any risks. The successful candidate would be continually supported by the Safeguarding Children’s Health team and enabled to develop appropriate skills and knowledge.
