An opportunity has risen for someone with all round administrative experience to join the team which provides vital clerical support to various teams within Housing, Health and Engineering Services, and other Council services within Nelson Town Hall. 

This role will have particular responsibility for providing administrative support for the Councils Legal Department.

Duties will include the opening and distribution of mail, the processing and maintenance of legal correspondence and the upkeep and storage of various files and legal documents.  This will involve, scanning and indexing, inputting, maintaining and interrogating documents using various systems such as Civica Legal and various Microsoft Packages.

Applicants must be able to handle a variety of clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying and message handling.  You must also have a sound knowledge of IT systems and a good standard of numeracy and literacy in order to draft letters and emails and calculate invoices.

This is a temporary appointment which is expected to last twelve months.
