In this pivotal role, you will ensure residents of the Borough have access to local democracy whilst upholding the principals of good governance. If you have a genuine interest in democracy and governance, are committed to driving change and improving services, this is the role for you.
The successful candidate will become a key member of the Governance Services Team and will provide a comprehensive range of services, including support to various council meetings throughout the municipal year.
You will play a full role in the democratic life of the council: being responsible for the preparation of committee summonses, agendas, provision of advice during meetings, report preparation and ensuring an accurate and timely record of meetings is made.
This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. This is a small team, so we need a good team player who welcomes and responds positively to change as we are in the process of a council-wide modernisation programme.
