Temporary Accommodation Officer
Chelmsford City Council is recruiting a Temporary Accommodation Officer in its Strategic Housing Service. We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience of housing, especially homelessness and property management.
The role requires working with a range of landlords who provide temporary accommodation, ensuring there are places available for those who have become homeless, supporting plans for moving families and single people on when other homes become available, and ensuring the services provided by landlords comply with the council’s standards and requirements. Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent administrative skills, an ability to work under pressure in what can at times be a challenging but also very rewarding role.

As part of our accreditation, Management Team have agreed that wherever operationally possible, we will offer our fulltime roles on a job share or part time basis. This is on the basis that we are able to recruit to the remaining hours within the same or one subsequent recruitment cycle.
