Our Finance team is a central part of many of the Council’s activities and is key in providing high quality professional advice to Officers and Members.
In this role you will contribute to the corporate finance functions carried out by the Finance Team including budget preparation, forward planning, final accounts, capital finance and completion and submission of Government returns.
Communication skills are essential for this role as well as the ability to present financial information to officers without a financial background.
Key elements of the role include:
- Experience in supporting budget preparation, allocation and financial statements
- Experience of using computerised accounting packages
- CCAB part qualified or Member of Association of Accounting Technicians.
This role will be based at our Council Offices, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks Kent TN13 1HG. We currently operate a hybrid working model for the majority of our roles where your working time will be divided between the office (2-3 days) and home working (2-3 days).
