We have an exciting opportunity for a Bid and Policy Officer to join the West of England Combined Authority’s Business and Skills Directorate.
The primary purpose of the Bid and Policy officer within the Business and Skills Directorate is to develop and maintain an overview of the latest national, regional and local business, skills and employment policy, reforms and funding to ensure strategic alignment of local plans to support delivery of the West of England Local Industrial strategy and Employment and Skills Plan.
Working closely with colleagues, the Bid and Policy officer will use available evidence and data internally and externally to produce papers and bids proposals to help inform local decision making and provide opportunities, solutions and recommendations to the WECA business and skills advisory boards.
The Bid and Policy officer will coordinate key strategic business, employment and skills stakeholder engagements at national, regional and local level to align strategic policies and develop funding bids by building collaborative working relationships to deliver inclusive and smart growth for the region.
This is a fixed term appointment for two years.
