About the role

Salary: £17,240 - £18,546 pro rata (£20,045 - £21,563) SAT 5

 

Permanent.

 

Term time plus 5 staff development days.

 

37 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

 

We have an exciting opportunity to join The Turing Schools administration team as an Attendance Officer.

 

As an Attendance Officer, you will undertake administrative tasks associated with the recording, management and monitoring of attendance; working with individual pupils and their families to improve attendance.

 

Key duties will include:

  • Record student absences and late arrivals;
  • Maintain accurate attendance records;
  • Make enquiries with parents / carers regarding unexplained absences;
  • Raise attendance concerns to the headteacher;
  • Support headteacher at formal meetings with parents / carers to discuss attendance issues.

 

The successful candidate will need:

  • A good general education;
  • A willingness to undertake appropriate training and professional development;
  • Good IT skills;
  • To be able to maintain accurate records;
  • To be able to priortise and manage own workload.
  • To be able to deal appropriately and effectively with children, parents, staff and professionals from outside agencies at all levels.

 

A qualification related to working with children and young people, knowledge of Schoolcomms and Google Suite, and the ability to produce reports and analyse data would be an advantage but are not essential.
