About the role
Are you looking to start a rewarding career within Adult Social care? We are looking for someone to join the Financial Services team as a Financial Services Support Officer.
Our team calculates what people need to pay towards care and support services arranged by us. We help the most vulnerable people in East Sussex to ensure they receive the correct level of financial assistance towards care and support. We provide support to clients of Adult Social Care, the public and Adult Social Care practitioners.
The key tasks of the role are:
- Contact clients who are experience difficulties paying their care contribution. Discussing difficulties, identifying reason for and what ongoing support is required to enable the person to pay
- Handle inbound and outbound communication including telephone calls, emails and post
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions regarding clients in the appropriate database
- Provide administration support as necessary including minute taking.
We are looking for someone who can work on their own initiative, be organised, self-motivated, collaborative, empathic and understand the needs of vulnerable people.
The team is currently working in an agile way and the majority of the team’s work is done from home. You will be fully supported within your probationary year which will include face-to-face support within the team and remotely by a ‘buddy’.
