Medway Council is a unitary authority with a valuable and diverse property portfolio. The Valuation & Asset Management section is a busy team involved in all aspects of valuation surveying work including compulsory purchase and compensation, valuation, disposals, landlord and tenant, urban regeneration, acquisitions, strategic property advice and property reviews and rationalisations.
We need the following property professionals to join our existing team of 5 staff:
We are looking to fill up to 1.45FTE positions and would like to hear from people who want to work from between 0.4FTE to 1 FTE. (2 days to 5 days or week)
Based in Chatham, but with plenty of flexibility to work remotely, you will make a positive contribution towards the running of the council’s valuation and asset management service by providing advice on a whole range of estate management and valuation matters. You will have a high level of responsibility, dealing with Valuations, compulsory purchase and compensation, acquisitions, management and disposals, which will help to meet the council’s strategic, regeneration, financial and operational needs.
You will need to be a qualified valuer (at least MRICS) with at least 2 years PQE.
Preferably you will have a degree in Estate Management or similar and be a Registered Valuer.
