Develop your career by joining a school which truly invests in all its staff.
Holy Family is a successful and happy school which has undergone a multi-million pound investment programme to enable us to expand and educate more students.
In September 2021 we opened our on-site provision, for children from across the borough who require support for their social, emotional and mental health needs. We are seeking to appoint an alternative provision support officer to join our highly successful SEMH provision. The provision is grounded in the creative arts and there are a range of therapeutic interventions that are used to support our vulnerable students. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a collaborative and enthusiastic team of staff to improve life chances for young people from across the borough.
Holy Family is a successful, well-regarded and oversubscribed secondary school. Over 70% of students secured a GCSE grade of 4 or above in both English and Maths in the most recent results. We have a 3 year trend of red ALPS (grade 3 or better) at A Level and some of the best value added for KS5 progress across the Diocese and the borough for our vocational outcomes. Students have access to an extensive extra-curricular programme which all staff are encouraged to participate in.
Every member of the teaching staff is provided with an iPad to support and enhance teaching and learning and access to excellent programmes of professional development, and the school has been a Gold Investors in People school since March 2016. There are additional staff benefits and opportunities for flexible working. We have an excellent record of internal career progression and promotion for our staff. Holy Family is a very friendly and supportive Catholic school with an inclusive ethos. In 2018, Ofsted described us as a good school in which “leaders are focused on achieving positive outcomes for students and have high aspirations for them”. We are also a school which has “effective strategies, valued by staff, to support staff well-being”
