We are looking for a Technology Enabled Care (TEC) project lead to support the work of the Technology Enabled Care (TEC) and Reablement Intervention Team. This is an exciting time to join Adult Social Services in North Somerset. There is local and national focus on TEC because of the ‘People at the Heart of Care; adults social care reform white paper’, published in December 2021. North Somerset Council is recognised as an innovative local authority that has ambition to maximise the independence, health, and wellbeing of its citizens through effective and appropriate use of TEC to enhance services. Work so far has been recognised nationally and locally and lays the foundations for the current opportunities for involvement in the development of our internal TEC hub alongside the delivery of care technology projects funded by NHSx.

This is a project management role and will involve project planning; milestone development; reporting; benefits realisation and evaluation of the TEC services as well as stakeholder engagement and liaison with TEC and care providers. The successful applicant will be supported within a multi-disciplinary therapy team structure but work autonomously. The working style for this role is ‘mobile’ meaning mainly home-based working with an office base at the Town Hall when required.

This is an interesting opportunity to get involved in the continually evolving world of TEC and will require a highly motivated and flexible individual with a passion for innovation and being at the forefront of service development. If that’s you, please get in touch for more information.

This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

For an informal discussion, please contact Fiona Shergold, Head of Service Development on 07469 406023.

Anticipated interview date:    To be confirmed
