It’s an exciting time for our Corporate Property Services Team.  Over the last year we have taken great strides to modernise our Property Department delivering a best in class service which is compliant and offers modern and inspirational property portfolios for staff and the people of Reading.

We are looking for a dynamic team member to join the Corporate Property Services Team in supporting the delivery of statutory compliance, for all our non-housing estate.

About the role

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To support the Statutory Compliance Lead in ensuring compliance with statutory and procedural processes and keeping all buildings safe.
  • To maintain and manage accurate records.
  • To support procuring and managing contracts for statutory compliance work.
  • To maintain and manage risk assessments on existing stock.
  • To support the preparation of reports, KPI data, ensuring they are presented in a professional manner.
  • To assist with policy formation on matters relating to Compliance.
  • To ensure up to date knowledge on Health and Safety legislation and procedures.

About you

We are looking for someone who has experience in the area of Health & Safety and compliance in relation to buildings and building services. With an inspirational can do attitude, someone that enjoys a challenge, can make things happen, whilst never losing sight of the customer.


Specific requirements:

  • A relevant qualification within the property management Industry
  • A NEBOSH qualification is desirable.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of legislation relevant to this post e.g. H & S at Work, Asbestos Management, CDM, Fire Safety and Building Safety Bill, etc.
  • Demonstrable understanding and use of the principles of Risk Management.
