Senior Accountancy Assistant/Trainee

37 hours per week

£20,444 – £30,095 per annum (Career Graded Post)

We have an exciting career development opportunity in our Finance Team. We are looking for a candidate who has a good understanding of basic accounting principles, double entry book-keeping, numerical skills, computer literacy, the ability to provide financial information accurately and promptly and the aptitude to carry out work flexibly and to deadlines using necessary procedures and controls.

Some experience of budget preparation and monitoring will be an advantage. If successful, your skills and abilities will be applied in supporting a principal accountant and the wider organisation, for example, providing financial controls, reconciliations and compliance with statutory and/or funding requirements.

If you are interested in a career in Accounting, are committed and have the necessary qualifications, this would be the ideal opportunity to embark upon, (or continue), a scheme of training for a recognised professional accountancy qualification, (normally of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy).
