Rossendale Borough Council’s Economic Development Team is looking to appoint an Economic Development Officer.

You will be responsible for the project management of a diverse range of initiatives including site development, town centres, industrial estates, business support, inward investment, tourism, leisure, employability and skills. You will need to be professional at all times and have the ability to bring about successful outcomes in complex environments.

You will need an honours degree or above and have experience of a wide range of Economic Development projects as well as a successful track record. You will be required to build up strong working relationships with businesses and partners and be able to work using your own initiative.

The role is office based but consideration will be given to flexible working arrangements in accordance with the Council’s Flexible Working Policy.
